Our Approach

Built by hand, by someone who lives here too

I started Joinery Millwork Co. after ten years working restoration carpentry on Minneapolis's older housing stock — Kenwood bungalows, Linden Hills foursquares, Northeast duplexes. I got tired of watching good houses get fitted with trim that didn't belong to them.

Today our small shop crew designs every project around the house it's going into: matching existing profiles, choosing wood species that suit the light and the room, and standing behind every joint we cut. We measure twice, we template on-site, and we don't subcontract the woodwork.

From first measurement to final coat

A straightforward process, the same for a single mantel or a whole-house trim package.

Consult & Design

We visit your home, discuss scope and style, and sketch initial profiles and layouts.

Shop Drawings

Detailed drawings and a firm quote before any wood is ordered.

Material Selection

You choose species, stain and hardware from real samples, not swatches on a screen.

Build & Finish

Built and finished in our Minneapolis shop, then hand-fit for delivery.

Install & Walkthrough

On-site installation by the crew that built it, finished with a full walkthrough.
